Abstract
The factors that affect the health tourism income in Türkiye during the Justice and Development Party period
Turkiye's tourism industry contributes significantly to the country's foreign exchange earnings, with health tourism playing an important role in the country's economic development. With this study, we aim to determine what factors affected Türkiye's health tourism income during the Justice and Development Party period. Our hypothesis is that Turkish health tourism income is influenced by government policies, medical infrastructure, foreign direct investment, and international advertising campaigns, all of which are influenced by foreign direct investment. The descriptive-analytical method allowed us to conclude that achieving the targeted income level in the field of health tourism requires the identification of effective factors and defining the priorities of the public-private sector. The health tourism income is also directly related to the exchange rate and private sector investments, and this relationship is effective and direct.
