The emergence of Salafi takfiri groups as informal actors casts doubt on the future of the West Asian region, where the ISIS terrorist group is one of the most important recent phenomenon in the region. The emergence of this group marks the beginning of a new phase of radical Salafism with the ideas of Ibn Taymiyyah and Sayyid Qutb in the world.
